Is your home feeling a little shabby? Or is it that you simply crave a little difference; so you want to change up a few things? Either way, if you want to give your home a makeover, then the below tips and suggestions are exclusively for you…!

Think of your furniture

Here, we mean the furniture from the kitchens Dandenong to the bedrooms and living room. In the case of beds and sofas, consider redoing the upholstery. You could change the material to something more suitable for today. Are they relatively new? Then consider having them professionally vacuumed. Replace your dining table chairs. Give your cupboards, pantry cabinets, and office room filing cabinets all a fresh coat of paint; so it all looks brand new. If you can afford to do so, consider swapping your older furniture for newer models; room by roomstarting with your bedroom or living room furniture.

Never underestimate a simple coat of color

Who says a paint job will only work for your furniture? It’s a given that they will do their magic on your walls as well! Try out different colors for walls; playing around with texture as well. Accent walls on bedrooms and marble walls on bathrooms are a few of our personal favorites. Try to get a few ideas out of interior decorating books, your local caesarstone, or simply google it. Don’t forget that your ceilings too can do with a little love; so don’t ignore it either.

The merits of fixing the cracks and drips

When you live in a home long enough; you develop a certain affection and attachment towards it. You also learn to overlook your home’s sort comings; regardless to whether it was originally there, or got added in down the road. Dripping pipes, cracked coffee tables, scratched windows…these are all things you unfortunately learn to oversee; simply because you were too busy to see it fixed. If you are a little tight on your budget, yet want to make an effort with your home, then this simple step of fixing all the broken and cracked and dripping could be considered as giving your home a makeover.

Enlighten your home…!

When was the last time that you changed the lights and light shades of your home? Has it been a while? If so, we think this is the right moment to give them a change. If you have installed LED or energy saving bulbs in your home (in an effort to save the worldand your utility bill!), then chances are that you have noticed how they seem to dim after a few months of usage. Changing them out will help you light up your home; and it would feel like your home had a make over.
